Pop singer Christina Aguilera was named global spokesperson for World Hunger Relief earlier today. According to a press release, the pop star and mother of her 1-year-old son Max will help to raise awareness of the problem of hunger around the world by appearing in print ads and a public service announcement, which she’s currently filming. Christina will also appear on the World Hunger Relief web site, FromHungertoHope.com, and in other online hunger relief efforts. This is only the latest in a long list of organizations Christina has participated by herself with over the years. Among the groups she is a part of or supports are Defenders of Wildlife, Missing Kids, National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations, Women’s Cancer Research Fund, and Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institution.
